After church on Sunday we headed up to the family cabin to celebrate Labor day. On Sunday night there was a big storm and it was all wet and rainy in the morning, but by mid afternoon it cleared up enough for the kids to play outside and have some fun.
The cabin has had a lot of upgrades the last few years, including log siding and flushing toilets! The current project is a new sun room on the main floor. Jason helped his Dad and Uncle Kent saw, hammer, and build while we were there. The men in the family have been working hard to make this addition possible. It will be nice to have the extra space once it's finished.
Savana, Sidney, and Cannon contributed to the project by picking up all the dropped nails and screws off the ground. Popi gave each of them two quarters for all of their help. They really had a lot of fun, especially Sidney, she has great eyes for buried nails.

How fun! I'm sure your kids will have many great memories there. What good helpers they are too. :)
Great new warm colors! How lucky to have such a great place to get away. Jason and his Dad have done a great job so far. Can't wait to see more pictures when the sunroom is done!
I don't know why we didn't put you two (and your children for that matter) to work while you were in Joe's Valley. Heaven knows that place coulda used some work.
looks like you all had a great time!
So much fun. That cabin is beautiful. It's nice to know what your talking about when you say the cabin. Glad the weather cleared up for you. And you can't beat flushable toilets!!!!!
I love the pictures on the logs. If school pics don't work out, just blow those up and hang them on the wall!
